A move from Ohio to Virginia in 2010 inspired Marci Rich to launch KeyWord Communications, LLC, following a highly productive and rewarding career as director of communications for the Oberlin Conservatory of Music. Marci quickly established herself in Virginia as a writer, journalist, and award-winning blogger, contributing feature profiles and articles to the Richmond Times-Dispatch and essays to the Huffington Post and KatieCouric.com, among others. In 2012, editors at the Huffington Post recognized Marci’s gift for storytelling by selecting her blog, The Midlife Second Wife, as one of “seven favorites for post-50 women.”
Marci’s writing, and her expertise as a savvy media relations and PR strategist, have served clients in higher education, the performing and creative arts, and publishing. Here is a select list:
- Oberlin College and the Oberlin Conservatory of Music
- Virginia author Gigi Amateau
- California author Tom de Paolo
- The Genius Group
- Ross Clayton Productions and jazz pianist Geri Allen
- The Richmond Times-Dispatch
Marci returned to her native Ohio in 2013, bringing KeyWord Communications, LLC, with her. Her client list, however, crosses state lines. If you would like her to tell your story—or that of your company, non-profit organization, or arts organization—or if you would like to enlist her help in enhancing your communications strategy, please contact her at marci (dot) keyword (at) gmail (dot) com.
